Naples Spring Break 2010

We had a great time going out on my parent's boat in Naples. The weather was beautiful. Jayde's favorite thing to do was collect the shells on the island we stopped at. Clayton ran around and kicked his legs in the water. Jayde has really become quite the little fish lately. She absolutely loves swimming and will stay in the pool ALL DAY! I was so glad that Jayme, Jared, Uncle Rick and Aunt Bev. could come join us!

Animal Kingdon 2010

We had a great time at Disney. Jayde LOVED getting her face painted. When we were in line to go see the Lion King show they pulled us out and told us we were VIP and put us up front. Then they pulled her out to dance during the show and they even told her they wanted to give an extra special thanks to her and said she was a princess. She was so nervous to go out at first but she really liked it afterwards.

As soon as we got back we had to go get Clayton's surgery to have 1 cyst removed from his face. Then when we got to the hospital the Dr.. said there were 4 cysts that needed to be removed. He had 5 to 7 stitches in each area. He had to wear "No No's" so that he wouldn't pull at them. It was a very hard time for us. We pray we can figure out why these cysts keep popping up and can prevent it but so far the Doctors we go to seem baffled. He dealt with everything so well. He was such a trooper. When Jayde saw him she said, "You look COOL BROTHER!" Later when my mom asked if the Dr. fixed Clayton's face she said, "NO."

We went to Temple Square and took a tour of the conference center. The three lovely ladies in front of the temple with Brad are his sisters Amanda, Kristen and Lauren. Of course that is me getting a smooch!

We went to the Dinosaur Museum in Utah and the kids had a great time. Jayde didn't want to leave.We had to make sure that we bundled up every where we went. Brad enjoyed the cold weather more than any Florida boy should.

Christmas and New Years in Idaho/Utah!

The kids were great for the 7 hour plane ride. Kristen met Clayton for the first time when they picked us up at the airport in Salt Lake. We stayed at Amanda and Rob's place a couple nights and at Lauren's apartment for a few nights. Most of our time was spent in Idaho at Kristen's house.

We had a wonderful time going to Disney with the family. The weather was perfect! Clayton enjoyed the characters and Jayde's favorite part was riding/driving the race cars.

We had a great time going out on the boat! Clayton was exhausted after our excursion! :) It was quite chilly that day so we didn't swim. The weather has been wonderful lately (70's and lower 80's).

Clayton went from crawling one or two times then he would stop to crawling across the room in a matter of 2 days! He is pulling himself up and taking steps while holding on the the couch. I can't believe how fast he caught on! Jayde wasn't doing that until 10 months! He is such a little tough guy :)

It is crazy to see how much he grows from week to week just by looking back at the blog pictures. Clayton is now 4 months old! He didn't even cry for his shots but he still isn't sleeping very long through the night. We are trying the food thing and all that is causing is explosive diapers!

McClain Family Reunion

We had a great time all hanging out over the weekend with everyone that came down for the family reunion! We had a huge bash for the 10 or so b-days our family has in June. Sat. we went to the reunion then we went to the springs in the boat and had a wonderful seafood dinner on the water with great company. I will post more pics as I get them. I was so busy with the kids I relied on other to take the pictures!!

Brad graduated March 27th (which happens to be our 5th wedding anniversary)from the Commercial Diving Academy. He is now cetified in underwater welding, bridge inspection along with about 20 other things. I am so proud of him! My parents took the motorhome so all of our family could ride together to Jacksonville for his graduation ceremony. When they asked Brad's family to stand he had by far the most people there for one person. Everyone had about one to two people and Brad had his wife and 2 kids, in-laws, his parents, his nana and papa, sister, brother in-law and his buddy Reuban even suprised him and came. The tears just rolled down my face and thank goodness no one was looking at me! It is so comforting to have so many loved ones that support him. Reuban's wife even made a diving cake for the celebration that was delicious!! Brad has already gotten a job in Pinellas Park (near Clearwater) as a bridge inspector for the state. It is a great job that not only pays great but he doesn't have to leave the country to do it!! He starts tomorrow and said he is excited to finally be "diving for dollars"!

1 Month Old!

At Clayton's 1 month check up the doctor couldn't believe that he gained 2 lb 2 oz in 9 days LOL. He asked if I was giving him formula and when I told him no he said I must have some long sleepless nights lol (he has no idea). We had to go get some more testing done with Clayton and after 7 days of being stressed about the results it came back negative so we are so excited. I am so thankful for the blessing that Clayton was given and for my supportive family. We are all so blessed to have such healthy kids. It is something I think I kind of took for granted before our scare. The Lord was for sure testing Brad and my Faith.

Everyone has been asking me how Jayde reacted when she first saw Clayton. Well after my c-section they had to stitch me up and Clayton was sent to the nursery so Jayde saw him through the window. He couldn't come out for 3 hours because he was having trouble with his lungs (everything is fine now). So when I was wheeled into my room where everyone was waiting Jayde yelled, "Mommy Clayton HERE!" It was so cute.

She really is great with him and understanding. She just doesn't like it that I am sitting around and not on the floor with her and playing like I usually am. I told her when mommy's tummy feels better we will play a lot more and she seems to understand. When she leaves for school in the morning she waves and says, "Bye brother." It is too precious!

Well, tomorrow I go to the hospital and at 7:30am on Thursday the 19th I will be getting my c-section. We are so excited! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and such good friends offering to help out with Jayde. I can't wait to see Jayde for the first time interact with her little Brother. She talks about him all of the time and how she wants to help mommy take care of him and change his diaper! I will make sure we post pictures as soon as we can!!

Well, I was suppose to go to the Daytona 300 with Brad today but as luck would have it I have been getting over throwing up and have been having contractions off and on so I didn't want my water to break at the arena so he called his friend Reuben at the last minute this morning to see if he wanted to go. I have never seen any one get ready and over to our house so fast! They said they have great seat right infront of the pits so they can watch everyone. They sent me this picture to rub it in!

We had 40 people who showed up for my baby shower and it was so fun to get all my friends and family together. I have to say thanks to the Romney's for an awsome cake. It tasted better than it looked! I asked for chocolate and boy did I get it. It was made out of Brownie with Caramel yummy! I also made a huge announcement at the shower. I found out the other day that I passed my test and I am now officially a Nationally Certified interpreter! For those that doen't know what that means it is a huge deal and the goal of all interpreters to one day become Nationally Certified. Not only can I interpret for pretty much anything and anywhere in the U.S. but I also get paid a lot more. I am so excited to accomplish this so early in my career and before our little blessing comes.

Brad was also able to attend the shower but you don't see all the guys because they are out shooting guns and fishing!

Well, I went to the doctors yesterday and got some exciting news. I told him I was getting more intense contractions to the point that I was having to catch my breath. So when he checked me out he said that Clayton has dropped and I am 1cm dilated. I know I can go on for a while like that but it is exciting to see this pregnancy coming to an end. We have not set-up a c-section date yet because if he does come early he might be small enough that I won't need a c-section so we are just waiting to see what he does. I am going to the doctors every week now so I will keep everyone updated!

Ok, we were doing really good not finding out what we were going to have but to make a long story short I have taken a couple of unexpected trips to the emergency room because of some cramping and pains. When I was getting an ultra sound to make sure the baby was ok and to measure my cervix in all of the pain I forgot to mention we don't want to know the sex and the nurse blurted out, "Well, there is no denying that is a boy. He sure isn't shy is he"! I couldn't believe it! But now I am going to have a shower so it is ok. Especially since I don't have anything for a boy! By the way the two times I went we found out I had kidney stones. That wasn't fun but at least the baby is fine.

We had so much fun visiting daddy at his diving academy. He is doing so well. They have tests almost every day and he has been studying like crazy. We didn't get to see him all of Dec. so my parents took the motor home to Jacksonville so we could spend the weekend with him. We went shopping, out to eat and we even got to see him dive at his school on Sunday. He comes home today the 19th and will be home until Jan. 5th. Then he can come home every weekend. The instructors where so nice. They even let Jayde talk to Brad while he was underwater through his helment speakers. Now Jayde says daddy working with Ariel (the little Mermaid).

West Palm Beach

My parents had to use their timeshare points so they are staying a week at West Palm Beach. They wanted us to go but Brad has so much to do before he goes to school in Jacksonville Dec. 1st that we just let them take Jayde. We miss her already! I keep going in her room and looking at her pictures (I know it's pathetic). We are going to pick her up Wednesday morning in Cocoa which is half way. It was kind of nice to be able to go to church and actually listen though!

A day at Busch Gardens!

We really enjoyed ourselves at Busch Gardens when we went Tuesday. They have a great water park called Dragon Land for kids that Jayde loves. Here favorite kiddy ride is the water boats (go figure). Jayde loved seeing the animals especially the Hippo (and no Brad that doesn't mean me!) just a little pregnancy joke.

Today we went to get our first ultrasound and everything looks great. We told them we didn't want to know the sex. The baby was moving all around waving and showing us it's muscles! We are so excited to finally get our boat back!! Brad is in heaven! He has gone fishing a lot lately and tonight he blackened the fish with cajun spices and it was soooo yummy!! (Usually I don't like fish) Jayde's cousin Dallon use to be afraid of Brad but since we have taken him on the boat he runs up and lets Brad hold him and talks to him. It is soooo cute!

I know it is not even Oct. yet but we were really excited when we saw pumpkins at Lowes so we grabbed some and made a night out of it. Jayde was so excited because Brad make his a Sponge Bob pumpkin. Jayde liked my little pumpkin too but not as much as daddy's!! I can't blame her he did such a good job.

25th Birthday Party

My birthday fell on a Friday and I was exhausted and just wanted to stay home and hang out with my family. Brad cleaned the house and made me a wonderful dinner with steak, huge grilled shrimp, salad, and the best Dungenous Crab Legs. Jayde even went to bed very early so we got to watch a movie in peace too!! I also had a great time Sat. at my birthday party. The rib dinner we had out at the property was amazing! It was so nice to finally get all my friends together.

First Day of School!

There is a great program at WTI that I have been on the waiting list for since before Jayde was born. They have certified teachers that teach this really great program to the kids. They only have a hand full of kids at one time allowed so it is really hard to get in. Jayde's cousin has been going for a year now and is learning sooo much. I finally got the call that they had a spot open and Jayde was the next on the list. They are really clean and bleach down all the toys every couple of days and have the coolest outside area for them to play in. They also get lunches that the Culinary students are in charge of making everyday. Friday she had meatloaf and mashed potatoes. I cried at first because well you know... but she wakes up excited and says, "GO SCHOOL"!! It is so cute! I know she stays a lot more stimulated now than when she was at home. Plus she gets to play with her cousin Courtlyn!

My mom's 50th Birthday Party

We had so much fun at my mom's birthday party. We played pool and air hockey and of course it was "BYOB" Bring your own bike so there were 4 wheeler rides for all. My friend Jessica is starting to make cakes and sell them and she made my mom these two beautiful cakes. My dad thought the Camo one was just the coolest thing. And yes the other one isn't center because it isn't suppose to be!! It was a really good Jello lemon cake, which is my mom's favorite. The cakes were a huge hit. Not only did they look good but they tasted great!

We have been so busy lately. Thurs. we went to Lauren's graduation party. We got her a little coach night purse and Jayde had to get her picture showing her princess purse with aunt Lauren. Then Fri. we bought food storage stuff, went to a BBQ then stayed out until 3am gigging. We had a blast because our friends have never been before. I guess you can say, "now they are hooked." ha ha Today we went to the Temple for a wedding then came back for a nice dinner reception. Tomorrow after church I have a bridal shower to go to and I think we might be getting the Hoki girls for a few days!! I don't know if I am more busy now or when I was working!

A day at the pool

We go to the country club with the Romneys (who have five girls!) and go swimming. Jayde has been swimming at least once for the past 3 weekends! She isn't scared any more and even lets us let go of her so she can kick herself around the pool. She gets tired easily so we always stay close by. Jayde even got gutsy and was jumping off the wall of the hot tub!

Jayde's Birthday Party!

As you can see we all had a wonderful time at Jayde's Little Mermaid Birthday party. We went to a live under water Little Mermaid show where all of Jayde's VIP friends got Reserved seats and popcorn. Then we had a blast at the water park. Brad and I don't know who had more fun her or us!!

Busch Gardens

We had so much fun at Busch Gardens. Well the loopy rides caused Brad to break out into a cold sweat. lol, he had beads of sweat all over his face. Don't tell him I told you though because he would kill me. The picture of both of us isn't very good but that was when we were about to go down the river rapids ride and we got so soaked. We ended up going home after that.

This was the first weekend we haven't had Jayde since she was born so we wanted to do something that we can't do when we have her. So this morning after we went to a graduation party we set off for Busch Gardens to ride all the big people rides!

No new posts this week because my parents took Jayde to Virginia to visit her cousin Little Bill. She is going to be gone for 4 days and after one day I am about to go crazy because we miss her so much! We are going to go to Busch Gardens Sat. to try and have some fun while she is gone.

We are getting our driveway poured next week so Jayde wanted to play in the dirt before she lost her sand box.

Jayde didn't care too much for the eggs but loved finding candy in the yard! We went over to the Horals for an Easter egg hunt/Embry's birthday party.

Jayde has a bad ear infection and that is why she has had such a high fever the past few days. Finally the medicine is kicking in and she is getting back to her playful self. Brad is glad that she is ready to play now because when she is sick she tends to want her mommy. Here she is dressed in green ready for St. Patrick's Day.

It took me getting sick and unable to get out of bed to finally get the time to make a blog We are very busy these days My husband Brad and I have been married 4 years this month We have a beautiful 22 month old princess named Jayde Christine Ellis She has been so good today while I have been sick She has been taking care of me rubbing my head and bringing me her Carebears to lay with me I don't have any recent pictures so I will post some of when we went to North Carolina to see nana and papa It was Jayde's first time seeing snow and we also took a helicopter ride near the mountains We want to go back and do the rapids in the summer time I will try to post as much as possible
